Yesterday I posted some of the best writing/publishing articles I had come across in 2018. But reading is only half the battle. So today, I’m collecting some of the top podcast episodes about indie publishing that I’ve listened to in 2018, broken down by show.
Science Fiction & Fantasy Marketing Podcast
I write fantasy, so it’s no surprise that the Science Fiction & Fantasy Marketing Podcast is my number one, go-to podcast. Hosts Lindsay Buroker, Jeff Poole, and Joseph Lallo interview a different guest each week on a wide variety of topics and also do listener Q&A episodes. If you are a new indie author writing in either genre, take some time and work your way through every episode from 2018. Here are my highlights:
The Sell More Books Show
The Sell More Books Show is a weekly news show about the indie publishing business. Each week, hosts Jim Kukral and Bryan Cohen feature three publishing tips and five news stories from the past week. They also host the Sell More Books Show Summit in Chicago with J. Thorn and Zach Bohannon (more on them later). Here are my top episodes from the SMBS in 2018.
The Career Author Podcast
The Career Author Podcast debuted earlier this year and it was a quick add to my weekly listen list. Hosts J. Thorn and Zach Bohannon do a deep dive on a new topic each week, along with rotating tip segments called J’s Ways and Zach’s Hacks.
The Best of the Rest
Here are some other great podcast episodes I listened to this year.
If you’ve made it all the way to the bottom, congrats! Let me know what your favorite indie publishing podcasts of 2018 were in the comments below!
