All this month, you can get 25 short stories and novellas from Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (SPFBO) authors absolutely free through the SPFBO Shorts promotion.
As part of the promo, I virtually sat down with a host of the participating authors.
Today’s author interview is with Phil Williams.
Tell us a little about your SPFBO Short.
The Ordshaw Vignettes is a collection of 12 super-short snapshots from the city of Ordshaw, all concerning unruly goings on that may or may not be connected to unseen Fae. The shorts are standalone vignettes, designed to be read as coffee-break jaunts – though some of them have sneaky hints to the wider Ordshaw series at large. You’ve got drug dealers, art teachers, crane drivers, all sorts in there. The stories were originally released as part of a blog tour promoting the third Ordshaw book, The Violent Fae.
What has been your favorite part of SPFBO?
The community aspect is wonderful; I’ve met so many new and fantastic people from it, it makes me despair at how I was doing it all alone before!
What are you currently working on?
Right now I’m hunkering down on Ordshaw Book 5, taking the story in a rather different direction after the conclusion of its opening Sunken City Trilogy. It’s set a few months after the original books, and directly follows The City Screams – though not necessarily resolving that story quite yet!
