Contrary to popular belief (and Ready Player One), the first easter egg hidden in a video game was not in Adventure, but in an earlier Atari title called Starship 1. However, in an ironic twist of fate, the game’s creator, Ron Milner, forgot the Easter egg’s trigger, and its existence was nothing but an urban legend, until two years ago, when Ed Fries, the Microsoft executive who led the team that created the first X-Box, set out to rediscover this important, err, Easter egg of video game history.

That was a long-winded introduction of saying that I’ve hidden lots of Easter eggs in Guild of Tokens.

Some are obvious and some are subtle, and some, like Milner’s, I’ve already forgotten. But here’s a partial list of movies, video games, and anime that are referenced in the book. If you find one, post it below in the comments!
